Bart Ehrman on the existence of Jesus

I think I’ve probably linked to this before, but it’s a good one, and doesn’t suffer from repetition, as the ignorant claim that Jesus never existed just keeps rearing its head in the atheist blogsphere. This clip is a good example of when scepticism turns into cynicism and prejudice and ignores normal scholarly methodology; the host seems so surprised that a non-believing scholar like Ehrman, certainly no friend to evangelical scholarship, asserts the absurdity of positing the non-existence of Jesus. David Gibson, himself an atheist, also has a good piece about the wrongful tendency of atheists to write off the New Testament documents as having no historical value.

Anyhow, watch ‘The Infidel Guy’ try to dig himself out of the hole he expected Ehrman to join him in:
